Harmonie im Widerspruch

Das Weltgeschehen ist voller Konflikte, und auch unser eigenes Leben scheint oft voller Widersprüchlichkeit zu sein. Das sei kein Grund zu verzweifeln, lehrt uns der griechische Philosoph Heraklit.

Ordnende Kraft in allen Prozessen

"Eins ist alles!" soll er mit Tränen des Zorns und der Begeisterung ins Tal gebrüllt haben. Denn er war überzeugt, dass letztlich "alles", die äußere Natur, unser Leben und auch das Denken letztlich nach dem „Logos“ geschehe. Diese ordnende Kraft, die "alles auf alle Weise zu steuern weiß", sei das Gemeinsame in allen Prozessen.

Streit ist notwendig

"Man muss wissen", schreibt Heraklit, "dass der Kampf das Gemeinsame ist und das Recht der Streit, und dass alles Geschehen vermittels des Streites mit Notwendigkeit erfolgt". Dem Menschen, als einem Bestandteil der vom Logos strukturierten Welt, sei es gegeben, den Gesamtprozess allmählich zu verstehen.

Geistige Faulheit

Haben wir die Lehren Heraklits, die um 500 vor Christus entstanden sind, zur sinnvollen Gestaltung unserer Welt richtig umgesetzt? Wohl kaum. Auch dafür gibt uns der griechische Philosoph eine plausible Erklärung: Die "Vielen" seien geistig faul und "vollgefressen wie das Vieh".

Jetzt ist es Zeit, das zu ändern – wenigstens bei uns selbst.
